Research
I'm a research student in the School of Physics and Astronomy based at the Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Centre (CUBRIC). I also studied the three year BSc Physics with Medical Physics course at Cardiff University. My final year research project focussed on using Ultrasonic Imaging to investigate the effects that Graduated Compression Stockings have on lower limb vasculature. As mentioned previously, I now work in CUBRIC under the supervision of Professor Kevin Murphy. My research is primarily focussed on investigating methods to assess the health of ageing blood vessels in the brain. Currently I'm working on two main projects. One of which aims to investigate the effects of motion in functional MRI (fMRI) using an external motion tracking camera. The other aims to investigate large resting state fMRI data from the Human Connectome Project.
